A “new” factory is added

A “new” factory is added to the Seawell family. This happened on Friday the 8th of September 2023 when Seawell purchased the existing buildings on Kai Lindbergs Gade 22 – the main street of the habour in Hanstholm. 
A complement to current production

The factory has been acquired to create more production capacity. Initially, the factory can be used as a complement to the production of Norway lobster from Fishermens Factory and filleting tasks from Filetfabrikken Hanstholm during busy periods.

Furthermore, the factory can contribute with the supply of flake ice in-house.

Room for new possibilities

The main activity at the new factory will be the production of fresh and frozen monkfish, squid, and filleting production.

The idea about the new factory is also to make room for innovative thinking and trying out new product lines. The possibilities are many, since the factory houses 2000 square metres, including two large chill rooms, two freezer tunnels, three seperate production areas, storage facilities, as well as a daily production of 12 tons of flake ice.

The main goal is for Seawell to continue to meet our customers’ evolving preferences for product types. Aquisition of more space contributes to this vision.
