In 1981 Seawell was established as a specialized seafood company in Denmark’s main fishing port, Hanstholm.
Since then, Seawell has, on the basis of high-quality seafood, grown so that we today are involved in fishing, production, and distribution of nearly all types of seafood from Scandinavia.
The original idea behind Seawell is a very simple one. We aim to move seafood from the raw material stage to the end user in the quickest and most quality-conscious way. Today this is no longer an idea but the solid foundation on which Seawell is build.
Many of our employees have been on the journey for more than 20, 30, and even 40 years, ensuring a lot of in-house experience and know-how about the fishery business.
Seawell is a Danish-owned company, and all our units are anchored near the largest Danish fishing ports. Close to the sea and our important partners, the local fishing vessels, with whom we are in close and daily contact with.
Based on their catch, we work out daily production plans. This allows our factories to take individual customer specifications into consideration, making it possible for us to determine the final destination at about the same time as the fish leaves the sea.
From Denmark, our products are mostly distributed to customers in Europe, as well as to our overseas customers.
The Seawell company consists of three sales offices and six factories with inhouse cold stores.
All units are located close to Denmark’s largest fishing ports and auctions.
