Maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety is a top priority across all our factories. We are therefore pleased to announce that Filetfabrikken Hanstholm, our newest whitefish processing factory, is now FSSC 22000 certified.
Filetfabrikken Hanstholm specializes in the processing of a wide range of fish species, including whitefish, flatfish, squid, and monkfish. The factory provides filleting, hand cutting, packing, and freezing services for both fresh and frozen products. Since Seawell acquired the factory in 2023, obtaining FSSC 22000 certification has been a key objective in ensuring the highest standards of food safety throughout production.
FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) is an internationally recognized food safety certification scheme that provides a robust framework for the controlled management and documentation of food safety processes. The certification builds upon the requirements of ISO 22000 and ISO/TS 22002 and is recognized by Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
FSSC 22000 certification therefore supports Seawell’s ambition to consistently maintain the highest standards of food safety throughout its production processes. Furthermore, FSSC 22000 is already a well-established standard within our organization, as our Norway lobster factory, Fishermens Factory, and Seawell Hirtshals’ two salmon factories are already FSSC 22000 certified.
The certification audit was conducted and awarded by FORCE Certification.
